Take a bite out of this juicy game. Flip over the tiles one at a time. The first player to make a new word, or build off an opponents word, gets the word and the points. (Red letters double your word score.) Think fast, or your words will get swiped before you can say, SCRABBLE Apple. To win, have the most points when the tiles are gone. Its a very apeeling way to polish up your word-forming skills. For 2 to 4 players. Ages 8 and up more info

Good idea not so good in play
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I was very hopeful about this product. I love Bananagrams and the Scrable name gave me reason to think there would be another fun word game to add to our collection. I was disappointed with the quality of the product. The letters are a cheap plastic that flip over easily. If you want to do an upside down shuffle of letters it doesn’t work because the plastic is thin enough that you can see what the letters are, and you can especially spot the extra value ones! I would recommend any of the games from the folks at Bananagrams before this one.

Not as good as Banagrams
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The directions were a tad less than clear.

My family-who loves to play games-only played this for ten minutes before we rejected it in favor of Banagrams. In fact, we actually argued over the rules before deciding that it was a game that should be placed to the side.

If you are looking for a fun word game-buy Banagrams!

Good family fun!

The term “toy” is not quite what my 9 year old would call this. He thinks if you read or spell during a game (and it’s a weekend) it is a punishment…

As an adult that enjoys thinking games, this one is good. Not so great for beach play on a breezy day, as the tiles are light. I’ve adapted it to play solo too. Great alternative to Bananagrams.

Fun and education at Scrabble Apple time

Speeds up your word skills no matter what your age, with such a simple yet challenging game at a very reasonable cost.

A faster paced scrabble game
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
If you like scrabble, but hate waiting while other players ponder, this is

the game for you. You don’t take turns — any player can call out a word they

see at any time, and other players words can be stolen if you can take one

of their words and add available letters to create a new word. This really

speeds up the game and makes it more exciting.

This was a gift to my eight year old daughter. She has always been a good

speller, but this game has helped build her vocabulary and spelling ability.

I have found that she is faster than I am at getting words. The only reason

I win more often than she does is because I know more words. In a few years

it will be a struggle for me to win when playing her.

One minor drawback: With the letters turned upside down, the yellow plastic

is thin enough that you can tell which ones are red before turning them

over. I recommend leaving the tiles in the cloth apple sack and reaching

in without looking to draw new tiles instead of turning them upside down

on the table.

I recommend Scrabble Apple for children and adults. My family enjoys it.

Good Game

A new twist on an old game, packs well without a game board. Fun to play and educational too.
